House Hiphop Disco Rock

Robot

I haven’t had alot of time to post lately, but luckily Jacuzzi Killers will be bringing on a new writer next week.  Right now he is in rehab trying to kick a nasty faberge egg addiction, but he’ll be with us soon.  Until then though, I wanted to post 2 tracks that I’ve really been into since I got my hands on them.  Both are genre crossing remixes that don’t sound much like the original, which in my opinion is part of the reason they are so great.

First up check out French producer Yuksek’s take on U-God’s track “Ugodzilla“.  Seems like The W is getting into European electro, with the recent Ghostface Scion remix series and The Bloody Beetroots taking on “Stomp“:

…and finally, Database is running a project off of their myspace page, allowing free download of all the tracks from their Ugly Edit compilation.  It features 12 of their own tracks with others from Midnight Martyn, Bo$$ In Drama, Cello Zero, and The Twelves:

  1. Another one with the faberge egg addiction? So many people have been lost to this. ;)

Nice chords on that Alan Parsons track and like the “pulsing” compression on the downbeats

    p.s. love those audio players
