The Twelves - 4 Original Tracks!

The Twelves Remix

Even though I didn’t plan on posting anything until tomorrow, a friend of JacuzziKillers.com, knowing we are HUGE fans over here, just sent over The Twelves‘ two latest original tracks.  He didn’t say where they came from or verify their authenticity, but I checked their myspace page and they do have these posted as “demos”, so they are legit.  After doing a little more research, I found that they had sent these tracks out to a few labels and received positive feedback…but it couldn’t have been too positive or else these probably wouldn’t be circulating the blogsphere.  Both very solid tracks, and although they don’t really quite live up to high standards of The Twelves’ previous remixes, they are light years better than the original tracks the guys put out about a year ago, before all of their much hyped remixes.

The Twelves - When You Talk

The Twelves - Works For Me

…and the 2 original compositions from 2007, before they were known as masters of the remix:

The Twelves - I Feel Fine

The Twelves - The Other Side

So what do you think?  Do these live up to our favorite Twelves remixes of The Black Kids and Theatre of Disco (check out our previous Twelves remix posts here and here).  Would you respect them as much if they were never successful producing original material?  Think about it, some of the most successful producers of all time (Rick Rubin, Diddy, etc.) never put out anything original worth listening to. The Twelves could still become huge behind the scenes of pop music, we know what they are capable of, especially when working with female vocalists. If you were an A&R, would you sign them based on these releases?  Well whatever happens, we love what they do, and wish them the best of luck!
