Surkin x Chromeo

Ok, even though I am pretty sure Surkin is only like 12 years old, he holds it down for Institubes. I love everything this guy puts out, reminds me of mainstream US house totally corrupted with French & German style. I’m sure only about .01% of my readers will get this, but I could definitely see most of his stuff being played down at Seaside on the Jersey Shore for some fist pumping Guidos, but it fits just as well into any hipster’s DJ arsenal. I honestly don’t know what to call this new track; a mash-up, remix, original…but whatever it is I’m lovin it right now. Chromeo’s lyrics flow so well with Surkin’s cut-up “White Night“, they should immediately hit the studio together.

…and two others you shouldn’t be without, Surkin’s remix of Boys Noize “Don’t Believe The Hype“, easily one of the best off of Oi Oi Oi Remixed; and the French Riviera’s own Straaatch’s remix of Surkin’s ”Ghetto Obsession“:

Thanks to Asian Dan for the Chromeo/Surkin track. Also, pick this track up on the Next of Kin (Mark II) EP released with aditional work from Bobmo & DJ Blaqstarr on Institubes.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I can’t wait for Surkin to come back on tour in the US– they just released that he’s going to head down with para one at LA Weekly’s Detour. I saw him at Coachella and have fallen in love with him ever since. My friends all think I’m crazy for loving French electronic but I’m totally obsessed.
