I first discovered the Brazilian duo Database over at bigstereo.net after a remix they did for fellow countrymen New Rave Kids On The Block’s (aka NRK) track “Vivian The Whore Next Door” was posted. I’ve been following them ever since…and ever since its been nothin but gold! It seems like Brazil is becoming the next Australia (or the next next Paris) becoming the focus of the party-music blog sphere, and I have absolutely no problem with that.
Also, the guys are doing something totally cool over on their myspace page between Aug 11-17, enabling free download of their “Re-Edits” LP which is comprised of re-edits by themselves, The Twelves, NRK, Bo$$ In Drama, Digitaria, Roots Rock Revolution, Midnight Martyn, Fisk, and more all remixing classics from artists like Ritchie Family, ACDC, Curtis Mayfield , and The J.B.s to name a few. Definitely don’t miss it!
