So we got some mail from a fairly unheard of band based out of NYC. They call themselves Blonde Acid Cult and I can see these guys getting pretty big. They have that signature Indie sound similar to any of the great “The ______” bands out now, but they are still doing their own thing.

I know, everyone is sick of bangers, and in a few months, everyone will be sick of this new disco/80’s stuff and the blog hype will have moved on to something else (if it hasn’t already).  However, these 2 bangers that found their way into my already flooded inbox warranted a post, no matter what genre you want to place them in.  First up, making their second appearance on the blog, is Gomez Van Gomez, remixing a track by fellow LA producer Optimus Grime.

Not long ago in blogs far far away Chromeo’s remix of Treasure Fingers ”Cross The Dancefloor” was blowing up. Looks like Treasure Fingers returned the favor with this remix of “100 %”.

We got this in the mail the other day, but I didn’t have a chance to post it till now. It’s from UK based up-and-comers, Heads We Dance. They describe this track as a “space-disco synth work-out”, which oddly does describe it pretty well. All I know is I like what I’m hearing from these guys.

The Human Touch will be available on extremely limited 12″ vinyl and as a digital download through their myspace and will feature remixes by Sidechains, Charlie Fanclub, Louis La Roche and NeOn, so make sure you pick that up.

A friend of the site just sent over this Little Boots demo titled “Every Little Earthquake” and it just further reassures my prediction that she will be one of the biggest pop stars in the world as long as she keeps this up.  I don’t know how to describe this track other than classic Little Boots.  Check it out for yourself:

I know their LP came out in March, and I think I actually got it about a week after it came out, but I never really gave Teenage Bad Girl much of a chance until recently.  A few weeks ago I had my playlist on random and I stumbled accross the track “USB Dick“, which I would compare to what would happen if Justice, Boys Noize, Aphex Twin, and 2 Live Crew collaborated on a track.  The rest of the LP is much more of the same, and I mean that in the best of ways.  I know this is old by blog standards, but if you haven’t already, give these Parisians a shot, you won’t be dissapointed:

What do Sebastien Tellier and Breakbot have in common? Well, I think they both look pretty homeless, but other then that they both make amazing and unique sounding tracks. This remix reminds me of a Daft Punk song combined with some heavy 80’s pop. Maybe it’s just the fact that when I hear the ocean in a song I immediately think of Daft Punk’s Fresh from Homework. Actually, that’s the only similarity….

About a month back we included ddpesh’s remix of Cut Copy’s “Far Away” in one of our DJ sets, but up until now we weren’t allowed to release it.  Well today Ddpesh gave us the ok so check out this very unique take on a blog classic.  I don’t really know what to liken the sound too, I just know I really like what these guys have done with this track.  Ddpesh is currently working on their 1st set of original releases, due to come out in early ‘09.  Stay tuned here, we should have a preview of the new stuff between now and then.

What do you get when you combine Brazilian electro-pop and English piano-rock?  Too many words and a great pop remix definitely worthy of a post.  With two giants like Keane and CSS, there isn’t really any more background needed…but Keane just released their latest LP titled “Perfect Symmetry” in early October and CSS’s “Donkey” was released in July of this year….so if you haven’t checked either out I suggest you do so now.
